Did you ever get your lightbar wired up with the new mounts? This is where I put my switches.

Haven't wired up yet. I plan on doing a similar setup to the one I had with the first roof light bar. That is, install the switches into one of the roof console compartments.

Newest updates:

DIY tablet mount in the dash. Been loving this little creation!

Drilled & slotted rotors and ceramic pads installed in the front. Waiting on the correct rear rotors to come in since there was a mix up in the order... But those will match soon

Winch mount came in

Test fit and it fits great! Surprisingly no interference with the brush guard so I'll be able to have both installed!

Tomorrow I've got some trimming to do to get everything to fit. Going to notch the bumper bar so that I have access to the free spool lever and can see the drum and cable. And the bottom of it needs to be cut out anyhow since it's right where the winch will be. Not a big deal, the dent that's dead center of my bumper has always bothered me anyhow, so now I get to cut it out

I'm stoked that there's no clearance issues with the remote mounted oil filter as well, although I may fab up some sort of shield to run between it and the winch, just to keep it protected.

And I've also got to do some trimming to the upper bumper bar mounts in order to get the winch to even fit between the frame rails. Not really worried about removing the material making the bumper mount weaker, considering there's going to be a large chuck of steel bolted on underneath it :P Mostly on the passenger's side, but I'm going to match the cut on the driver's side too just for a little more clearance. May also have to clock the end cap and freespool lever to a different spot, but I'll figure that out once I get to actually mounting the winch.

And need to clean up some of the factory welds on the bottom of the frame horn with a grinder to get the mount to sit a little more flush.

So tomorrow I'm driving the Blazer to work looking like this With the bumper bar in the back. Going to try and knock out all the cutting tomorrow at work after hours, where I can put it up on a lift for a little easier access instead of sitting on the ground...

Almost looks prerunner-ish lol

Looks good. That upper bumper mount is a pain we cut mine right off to weld a price of angle iron on to bolt the new bumper on. bolts on with the tow hooks and the angle iron now

Got all the cutting done today.

First thing I did was flatted out the factory booger welds on the bottom of the frame horns with an angle grinder...

Then made the relief cuts on the bumper brackets. Started with a cut off wheel on an air tool, opened up a slot big enough to fit a sawzall blade in, and that took the rest off like a hot knife through butter

Then taped off the line on the bar to make the opening on it

Same process on it; use the air cut off wheel to make a hole large enough for the saw blade, and the sawzall took care of the rest with ease.

Cleaned up the edges with the angle grinder when I was done and test fit. Pretty even.

Got home and hit everything with some paint to prevent rust

Also went ahead and hit the winch mount with some sand paper and a coat of primer. It's trying to surface rust just sitting in the garage... Was starting to look ugly lol. Just the top for now, will flip it over and do the bottom tomorrow.
