2001 chevy blazer 4.3l

2001 chevy blazer 4.3 l. What is this part? It humms constintanly . Its locatcation is behind the throttle body and to the right. It looks as thou it goes into the intake. Any clues would be greatful appreciated. Thanks a bunch
