Goldfinger and the maiden
Today was the maiden voyage for the blazer, and for my gold prospecting. I have been pretty much working on this blazer for the last several months for trips to the mountain, gold hunting. This was the first time I have taken the ol' blazer outside the city and it did rather well, it didn't strand me. Well, since I was driving solo on this trip there wasn't too much 4x4, just enough mud to make it look good. I got the truck dirty but struck out on and color in my pan, no worries, the whole idea is about getting to the wilderness. Here are a few pics from the trip and my truck~
My 92 blazer, I caught some crap for the safety orange strap holding the spare, I just laughed. http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/7114/boss001.jpg I had planned on making this an overnight trip, that's why the tire is on top, but when I got to the collawash river I could see the snow line about 100 feet up - no way was I waking up with an ice cream headache. http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/8804/boss004.jpg I was really looking forward to seeing how this truck lays out for sleeping in, for sure next trip. http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/3579/boss003.jpg These pictures are from Mt hood national forest, clackamas and the collawash rivers. It was a little wet for my taste also, man this forest is always damp. http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/311/clackamas001.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/9...ackamas002.jpg http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/697/clackamas003.jpg http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/2623/clackamas004.jpg :icon_angel: |
