Please rate my tweeter install.

Got my first set of components.

I decided to mount the tweeter close to the woofer so it sounds like it's coming from one place.

How does it look?

Is there some gray paint I can get that won't clog the vents on the tweeter?

You don't have to be an expert to notice a clean install. Means a lot to me, thanks!

Trying to keep it as stock as possible. so far this is now the only thing I can't un-do, but it's an upgrade. I don't see how anyone wouldn't want this...

Heh.......

in the door...

There is a ton of room back there.

Where else should I put it?

Its not about room. They are very sensitive and not water tight. Any water gets down there and your crossovers are shot! I suggest either where the center console meets the firewall or somewhere else out of harms way of feet and water.

I don't suppose a plastic bag would be of any help?

I was thinking about putting it somewhere behind the door panel if there is room.

How's this?

Edit: this is the final outcome.

Perfect fit.

I even got the mids to fit perfectly in the door and don't stick out now.

Now I wonder if I can put those 3" full ranges..at least I think that's what they are called. I always see 6", 1" tweeters and then a 3" speaker.

I'm not a huge fan of where they are. I know its a PITA but try inside the cab. No water can TOUCH them let alone have a chance to ruin anything.
