2000 blazer clunking when hitting bumps

Hey guys. So I have this loud clunking sound in the front end, both passenger and driver side, whenever I hit a bump, even when going over uneven pavement. My truck also seems to be very bouncy (swaying back and forth) I just had my front shocks and front wheel bearings replaced so I know those arent the culprits. Any ideas? Im trying to get ideas as to what it could be so I can get prices. Thanks.

check your sway bar end links.. they have rubber bushings in them that rot over time and will cause exactly what you are describing

Very cool, thank you so much. Thats exactly what my husband said, but hes the type who thinks he knows everything, and is usually wrong lol.

I second the sway bar end links. One of mine is in bad shape and in need of replacement. It is causing that very same issue as you describe. Not expensive to replace yourself, but you may end up cutting out the old one. Afterwards it should ride great!

A great way to make sure that the end links are bad is to watch them as somebody bounces the truck.. If they are bad, you'll see play in one or both. They shouldn't move at all if they are good.
