2000 blazer leaking power steering cooler?

I've seen a few threads on here but nothing that gives a simple fix for this, my power steering cooler has rusted out and is leaving puddles below the vehicle and I've lost power steering, no one makes a replacement so I'm stuck making something work. Does anyone have an easy fix for this??

How bad is the rust? Can you not just patch it with some hose and clamps? That's how it is connected to the steel lines from the pump. I would think one could also modify a little tranny cooler to do the job as well.

The below link fits 2000 S10. You could probably make it work for a Blazer I would think.

HaydenŽ 1009 - Swirl-Cool? Power Steering Oil Cooler (9" x 2 1/2" x 3/4" Light Duty)

It's actually busted right in the middle where the metal bar runs through, so there's really no way to patch it. If I can get some time to actually look at it I might be able to come up with something. One more question, the cooler is on the low pressure side so I can use any kind of rubber hose to patch/ bypass it?

Oh, so it's rusted all the way up and down... Gotcha. To bypass it you could just use the existing hose and remove the remote metal structure. That would get you by. I don't know how hot the system gets, but if they put a cooler on it I would keep one on there. Either hit a bone yard or order something aftermarket like shown above

Since Its just a daily and I don't use 4wd I should be okay bypassing it for a while until I can fit something else when I have some time. Im guessing i can just remove one of the hoses and plug it into the pump with the airbox off. Thanks for the help guys.
