Mark the location of the eccentrics used for the alignment on the upper control arms for when you install the new arms. This will get the initial setting somewhat close before you take it in to have an alignment.

Make sure you remove the torsion key locks to remove all tension on the lower control arms after removing the spindle, if theres swelling on the torsion arms in the LCA, pre soak with WD40 or such...

I am assuming this is your first time doing this so these are the things I learned.

Rent or buy a good ball joint press
pickle forks are useful
as Christine said use the tool to unload the torsion bars. Check this for being bent before you leave the Auto Parts store
the correct socket to remove the axle nuts is handy also. Loosen this nut before you jack up the truck it is much harder afterwards,.

penetrating oil is helpful as well.I like CRC cold pentrating formula.buy twice as much as you expect to use and then use it liberally on your fasteners.

I would have brake Clean on hand.

Consider doing the ball joints, tie rod ends, replacing the front brake dust shields and torsion bar mounts while you are doing this job.

I would also look at the wheel hub sensor for the ABS and clean the rust underneath them since the wheel hubs are out

Take plenty of pictures as you dissemble as the routing of brake lines and the ABS cable will forgotten.

I would stay away from the combination ball joints and control arms. They are made by Chinese vendors with their choice of parts. Moog version DO NOT use Moog ball joints.

I would purchase Moog or Proforged parts remember Amazon and Rock auto are your friends.

Grease your front end as it will be easy now.
