2nd gen leafspring/shackle bushings
 

so im looking at replacing the 4 leaf spring bushings and 2 shackle/frame bushings on the rear of my 99 jimmy 4x4, looking at rockauto i got these #s and just wondering if there correct and if i would need anything else?

ACDELCO Part # 45G15022 ,RR SPR SHKL -; UPPER(x2)
ACDELCO Part # 45G15393 ,RR SPR SHKL -; LOWER(packed in pairs)
MOOG Part # SB335 REAR FRONT(x2)

1999 GMC JIMMY Leaf Spring Bushing

if those are correct im looking at roughly $38+shipping and border fees as im in Canada, wondering if i should just order this poly kit off ebay or anyone have a better link for one?

get that poly kit.

Have fun getting the leaf spring bushings out. You may have to burn em out. Ive never had a set to slide out.

yeah i usually burn them out but if you are removing the entire leaf spring if you can get it in a vise a air hammer or big pick and hammer might work.

getting the bolts out are hit or miss too. i recently did some shackles on a 80s rotted f150 and said no way are those bolts coming out. one came right out and the other with the zap of the impact, crazy

ya im scared of those bushings but its needs to be done, i just bought myself a new air hammer the other day so hopefully it makes this job a lot easier.... 4500 beats per minute should make those bolts budge i hope :S and then i can finally brush the dust off my lift shackles and get those in! :)

I am about to do my bushings as well. I hope it goes well, I just did a forester and the rear control arm bushings fused to the bolt and it took 45 mins with the impact to get it out. ended up melting the bushing from friction. I would have torched it but my friend was worried about the torch on his car...

Just use some penetrating oil, drink a beer or two and come back and try it.
