2wd Upper Control Arm Removal Issue

I have tried to remove the 2 bolts that hold the control arm assembly to the frame 2 separate times no i have soaked them in PB blaster, tried using a breaker bar and they will not budge!!! does anyone have any idea?? i dont have access to air tools unfortunately or i would have tried that. Ultimately i need to replace the upper and lower bushing so if someone has done this on a 2wd please tell me how to get this done. thanks

its fairly simple.the head of the bolts have a square flange on each one to keep them from backing out...

try removing from only the nut. if they wont buldge try some heat. hit up walmart etc for a yellow bottle of map gas. its hotter then propane, propane wont do it. get em hot,and go at it.

And keep the fire extinguisher handy. Heat and beat wins every time!

I haven't tried heat so that's my next step thanks and do I need to do something with the flange or just work on the nuts with heat?

you have to get the nuts off. then you gotta beat those bolts trough the bushing

The bushings are so bad I don't think that will be as much of a struggle. The real pain is gettin these off the truck then tryin not to bend the arms. I have read these aren't the strongest control arms out there
