4wd disengaging
Hi all,
I have a 1999 2 door blazer and have been having issues with the 4wd. It stopped working a few weeks ago, and I replaced the switch on the transfer case and all of the vacuum lines, and it currently works, but has in issue with disengaging. I was driving to work the other day through the snow, so I engaged 4wd and it went in fine, but after driving for about 10 minutes I heard and felt a clunk, and though the truck was in gear (manual transmission) it lost all power to front and rear wheels, just like it was in neutral. Once I shifted back to 2wd, I got power back to the rear wheels. It did this several times, only staying engaged in 4wd for a few minutes. Just wondering what the issue might be, whether its vacuum/electrically related, or something mechanical.
Thanks in advance
