4x4 to ZR2 ?
Is it possible to take a standard 2d 4x4 and take the suspenison off of a ZR2 and swap it over to get more lift? If so what parts need to be transfered and what mods have to be made?

RE: 4x4 to ZR2 ?
Not possible unless you swap your body onto a ZR2 frame. Completely different frame between the two.

RE: 4x4 to ZR2 ?
The frame under the ZR2 is completely different as are the upper and lower control arms and their mounts. The frame itself is stronger than the stock frame. Not a production flaw as you see it, but more of a marketting promotion.
I'm sure Jigg can explain in more detail than I am able to. |
RE: 4x4 to ZR2 ?
The reason why it is different is because of the way the suspension mounts to the frame and the way that the frame is made. Pretty much a ZR2 is just a blazer with a way better frame/suspension setup, made more for offroading. I am pretty sure they were made on seperate product lines and maybe even different plants.
EDIT: If you really wanted better off-road performance it would be better and cheaper to just go with the 5-6" suspension kit. |
RE: 4x4 to ZR2 ?
hey lennyblazer the 5-6 suspension lift is that a good lift for a 4 door 4x4 im debating between either a 4 door 4x4 or a 2 dr zr2 im in debate cause im going to get either one after i pay my 2wd off in the next year
