84 Chevy Blazer 4x4 Frame

I have got a huge problem... Father bought a 84 Blazer without much looking into it with my money, come to find out it has DEATH WOBBLE, which is most likely caused by the cracked frame... He is talking about welding a patch, since it will be strictly used for the beach and towing a trailor back and forth. Any ideas? At first i was just worried about tie rods, ball joints, or need of a cheap steering stabilizer. Now i have this other problems. Need a little insight. Thanks

Can you describe this "death wobble" with some more details?
Is the crack in the frame located near the steering box?

i call it a death wobble because its what everyone else describes it as... whenever you slow down using the breaks or not, the whole front end wobbles. to the point where the person next to you asks if your ok haha. maybe the frame has little to do with it, but it is also a problem needing fix. i dont wanna sell the truck because it has a brand new rebuilt engine and tranny. any ideas?

forgot to mention where the crack is.... its about 2 inches long and prob a mill gap. located where the shock on the driver side attaches
