95 Blazer rear end
I currently have a 95 S10 Blazer with the drum brakes in the rear. I want to install disc brakes. What years would bolt up and is there and fabrication needed. Also I don't Kno how to tell my gear ratio in front or rear end. I cannot look it in in the RPO as the dash had been replaced before I bought the Blazer.

98 and newer are disc brake. Make sure you get one from a 4x4 if yours is 4wd, a 2wd if you have a 2wd, or a zr2 if yours is zr2(Idk if they had those in 95, or if 96 was the first year)
Those 3 axles have different widths, but as long as you get the corresponding axle and proper gear ratio it will be correct...I also reccomend looking for one with the g80 gov-locker
You can decode your vin on a number of websites for a small fee. This will give you all your rpo codes and their meanings.

Rear end
I was hoping to get one that was 2 or 3 inch wider than the original rear end so the rear end in the front end would be the same with cuz I know the front end is two and a half or 3 inch wider then the rear end is and mine is 4 wheel drive

Get one from a zr2 then

it is my understanding that the wheels are further apart on the front axle to give the vehicle a separate track in a mud hole...
i dont know how to find that out for sure, perhaps old wives tale, but ive heard that all my life
