on my 98 blazer the 4wd push buttons don't light up, i can press then though and it'll light up when pressed but doesn't stay lit up, it shifts into 2hi, 4hi, and 4lo every single time we press it. we can hear what sounds like a click beside the glove box (if im not mistaken there's a relay located there?) almost instantly we can hear it engage the transfer case that sounds like its under the center console and it always works fine, and if we put it into 4lo we can feel the blazer jump a bit when it engages. its just sometimes the orange lights work and sometimes they don't, any ideas on what could cause the lights to not come on?

 

Probably the switch acting up...but if it engages the 4WD ok, I would not worry about it.
