Default 4x4-Needs servicing?

Just got a 95 blazer, 214,000 whopping miles on it(runs like a champ 70,000 on a new engine and tranny). I asked the guy about four wheel drive, he told me he knows 4hi works, but not too sure on 4lo. I also asked when the last time anything on the 4x4 was serviced, he said he didnt know, so im guessing a really really long time. What do they do when they service the 4wheel drive(i dont want to be stuck in 4x4).

Thanks

Anthony.

A basic 4X4 service would be to change the oil in the transfer case.
