Any one know the size of the Rear Shock Upper retaining bolts '97 S-10 Blazer?

I had to have my rear shock upper retaining bolts cut off with a welder and cant take them in to see the size of the bolts as they are melted puddles of steel now. any one know the exact size of the bolts used on the rear shocks? any help would be greatly appreciated. I cant find anything online about it. all I know is they are 1/2" hex heads.

Thank you in advance!

I believe they are m8x1.25x25mm, if you melted them out then your also going to need the retaining U nut that they screw into.

i think you're right about them being a M8 thread, but you can use whatever size you want now. like 5/16. same "size" as a M8, but you'll need to get the correct spring clip nut for whatever bolt you use.
