B&M Hub Removal Help
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...c7368957c2.jpg
Snap ring was in the center section https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...3f6792ea20.jpg Chipped the flange trying to pry it out https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/blazerf...3b8c21f29b.jpg I have not seen any info on this hub searching the web I am attempting to renew the front brakes on my 1977 K5 and cannot figure out how to get the locking hubs off. The cover and a snap ring came off easy but I have not been able to pull any more off to access the hub fasteners. I do not find any information on the installed B&M lockers. Any one know how to proceed? Thanks |
There is a snap ring that holds the aluminum locking hub inside the wheel hub / brake rotor assembly. I edited your first picture to show where the snap ring will be (between the red circles). It appears as though you will have to do some cleaning in this area to reveal the snap ring.

He already answered your question but, if you want any more info, google Selectro hubs. That's what the B&M ones are.

Thank you!
I sincerely appreciate your help with this. You were correct in my needing to clean up in there.
As you can see in the photos it is a bit crusty everywhere. The truck has been neglected and with your help I am getting her back on the (off) road soon. T

Thanks Tom
I was surprised it was so difficult to find any B&M hub information. Your help put me on the path to what I needed!
