Default Cant hold in road, almost wrecked.

So i have a 96 4wd blazer 2dr with about 300k on it. ive lifted it 2 inches, replaced the idler arm, tierods, ragjoint, and passenger cv axle. its been doing fine but i was headed to work the ontherday on a little road hit a small bump, and got the steering wheel jerked out of my hand it went all over the road with a car in the oncoming lane thankfully i was able to get it back in my lane, and wasnt going fast (35ish). its been doing this for a little while now but never that bad. also when you take a left turn it will just keep turning and wont return back to center. Right turns are fine however.

If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.
Thanks Jbb sorry for the lack of grammar.

Thanks for the reply... it has a brand new ragjoint on it, and im pretty sure i installed it correctly. All the balljoints have 300k on them so i guess thats the place to start? So does the steering box but with the key on engine off it turns the tires just fine and doesnt miss a beat. nor does it while running, It is abit sloppy steering wheel side even if i adjust it.

rich, mine has about that and they are original...they feel ok. One day i need to change em!

OP if you do go with balljoings stick with moog or something like that...balljoints is one of those "you get what you pay for" deals.

Yup their still factory, and the truck has damn near 300k on it the passenger side felt fine when i replaced the cv, but i dunno where to start and balljoint seem to sound good atm even though i can only afford two atm.

did you adjust the steering gearbox? the tension screw with the allen head? if so it may be too tight and causing your sticking steering.

i learned to never touch that screw. too tight and you'll kill it. without knowing till its too late.
