Complete Fluid Replacement

Hello, I have a new to me 1997 Chevy Blazer Ls 4x4 and i'm doing a complete fluid replacement, I would like to know what gear oil do i need to use in the front, Rear and transfer case? I also have a case of Dexron/Mercon III Atf, Can i use my Dexron III atf to change my transmission fluid or do i need to upgrade to Dexron 6? I'm lost when it comes to what fluids i need to use for my 97 Blazer...Thank You.

Transmission is Dexron-III with a G-licence number (number is on back of bottle). 5 quarts (fluid and filter change)

Transfer case is just Dexron-III ATF. I believe it takes 1.5 quarts?

Front and rear axles are SAE 80W-90 GL-5. Front axle is 1.2 quarts, and rear is 1.7 or 1.9, depending on what axle you have (7.625" or 8.6")

I would think twice about the trans fluid change on a vehicle that old. May cause a rebuild in the near future

Don't know if in 97 they had the "4-button" transfer cases but if you do have one, it would be called the "Auto-4wd" then you have to use a different fluid.

Yes, you can use Dextron III. Should be a section in the owners manual that gives the specs for all the fluids. If you don't have one - google for a copy.
