Dropping the Jimmy...a few ?'s...
Looking to drop my '01 Jimmy 2-3 inches, and throw on some z06 wheels, or something of that nature. My mechanic said I could save a lot of money and remove the front torsion bar and rear leaf springs I believe. Would this be an ok thing to do? Has anyone done it before?
Just curious how much of a drop it would give the truck and how well it handles as a result thanks, Chris |

i dropped mine 4 in the front and 5 in the back using a beltech kit. you could use just blocks in the back and turn your torsion keys. i wouldnt take the bars out cuz if you did youd be ridin on your bump stops. and i dont think removing your leaf springs is safe. i know you can take out one of the leafs, if thats what you meant

With such a large drop, did it weaken your ability to move stuff? I want a lowered blazer that can still do it's job. Just started buying antique furinture in the UK before uncle sam sends us back to the states.
