Forgot to Mark My Front Drive shaft yolk alignment when replacing pinion seal..HELP
 
I had my front yolk out on my 99 blazer and like a dummie I didnt mark anything. After reassembley I realised my mistake and now have a grinding noise and absolutley no Idea how to re-align it. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT.

I wouldnt think that would cause any problems. What i could see causing a problem would be not tightening the nut enough or too much. You should have marked the nut in relation ship to the shaft on the pinion. That way you could tighten it to the exact spot it was.

The only leak I have from my used '97 Blazer is a leaking pinion seal. A receipt that came with the Blazer shows that a local garage worked on the rear end at one time, changing a bearing & changing the pinion seal. But, it still leaks. I think I'll just live with it for the time being. It's not bad, & oil is easy to check or add.
