No 4x4 When It's Cold??
i have a 2000 blazer when its cold out (recenlty) my 4x4 service lights comes on and none of my indicator lights are on. but this only happens when its 20* or below once i pull it in the garage (for about an hour or so) and take it back out it works just fine till about an hour or so then its back out, any suggestions??? (i followed the vacum lines and everything looks good btw)

I am had a similar problem with my 2000 blazer last year. What I was told by a GM mechanic, was that it was a wire going to my TCCM. The wire has a slight break in it and when it was really cold out the insulation would shrink and fully separate the wire. But when it was warm it made a connection.

Update.i replaced the transfer motor and still don't have anything and now it doesn't even work when it's warm out (around 50-60) any suggestions... and which wire? could you be more specific?

Sorry I wasn't more specific before. They wound up replacing the connector that goes to the TCCM. I now know it is a lot cheaper if you get it from a junk yard somewhere. Also check the male pins on the TCCM for corrosion. If you do replace the connector, pack it first with dielectric.

i changed the motor anyway but when i looked at it i noticed the connections were fine so that wasn't the prob i think it is the module behind the kick panel on my way to get a new one at a junk yard i blew the front end out how im not sure ??? but im replacein the front end the only ? i have now is how in the he// do i get the top bolt out on the front dif. i no its a 18 mm but i can't get anything to hold the nut between the frame the hole it gives you isn't big enough to fit a wrench
