Front Axle leak, nv236 question, transmission bar?
Ok so I got alldata and according to them these are my tropoids...... uh OK. So are these my differential seals leaking? Does that normally require axle bearings being replaced? If so can I just take the CVs off, or do i have to remove the spindle nut and everything else?

And what is this part called? http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/a...missionbar.jpg http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/a...nbarcloser.jpg Thanks |
Is your front diff low on fluid? Does it leave spots on the driveway? If not, I wouldn't bother replacing the seals, but that is definitely gear oil and not CV grease.
You can disassemble the plug and replace it with a junkyard replacement. You will need a terminal tool to release the catches inside the plug. That bolt is likely an M12x1.75 bolt. Probably around 25mm long. |
It does leave spots, but a drop here and there, I was gonna SAS it anyways, just another reason to do it. Thanks for the rest.
