front end
since i am hearing that they built weak front ends for the blazer, is there a company who makes heavy duty front end kits for our machines ????????????

Not for 4wd that I'm aware of. Moog makes great front end parts, but be prepared to spend 400 to 500 dollars to replace your upper and lower ball joints, control arm bushings, complete tie rods, idler arm, pitman arm, and sway bar bushings.
There are kits like this on ebay here but who knows how reliable that is. |
synergyoffroad.com has a front end set if money isn't an issue cause it's 500 bucks. I've got it in my ZR2 and so far not a problem and i've gone through three sets of ball joints and two idler arms. Cheap does nothing but give you headaches with our trucks. Unless you like replacing ball joints every couple months. Another recomendation is solid tie rod sleeves cause the cheapo ones bend easy and solid ones with jam nuts dont seize up on you.

same here. I bough all my moog front end parts at rockauto. It's cheaper than jegs or summit. Plus you can get a 5% discount

So would you say Moog is better than OEM? I know with my truck it isn't an "if" but a "when" the front end goes so I'm just looking around.

Went in to a local highly rated front end shop for an alignment last year with 65,000 miles on my '99 LS 4WD. Came out with new Moog ball joints, pitman arm and the alignment. Mechanic there said Blazers were tough on ball joints, buy the best - Moog.
