Default Ball Joint Replacement

Hey i was wondering if there is a good brand of ball joints for my 96. My are popping and need replaced.

MOOG makes a good ball joint. I know there are other good brands, just cannot think of them right now. A search should turn up something though. I know it has been discussed before.

Moog, A/C Delco, TRW. All have lifetime warranty. Took me about 30-45 min to replace uppers. Just make sure you KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

My Carquest balljoints have been holding up pretty good so far!

































jk jk...the boots ripped, it looks crappy, and I have to pump grease in it constantly. Spend the money and do it right

X2 on the Moog, AC Delco and TRW all are quality I have the TRW Ball joints and they have held up for about a year now with no problems

ok heres the deal yesterday my drivers side ball joint sounded like hell, popping and and making all kinds of noise. But today after driving a few more miles they arent making any noise so should i replace them still or was it just a rock or something in the way??

Jack up your truck, take the wheels off. Unbolt the upper ball joint and hit the control arm with a min. 4lbs sledge. The ball joint should pop out. Feel it for play. if there is play, replace it, if not put it back together.

I have power performance ball joints and they are awesome. They have a 1 million mile warranty and have been tested against moog ball joints. They also use the same part numbers as moog so theirs no confusion.
