4x4 cable missing but why??
Hey guys I need some help on my 4x4 issue here. I have a 99 ZR2 I bought this blazer recently and I came to find out that the front wheels never did engage when using the 4x4. So I checked the switch on the transfer case and the actuator under the battery...thats when things started to get strange. When I saw the actuator I saw half of it was missing as is the cable that engages the front end. I went down and looked at the transfer case and saw that at some point the cable was cut and someone welded a metal hanger and used it to hold the remainder of the cable and prevent it from completely going back into the transfer case. But my question is why would someone do this? Opinions??

The guy I bought it from is a low life. I have run into so many problems with that vehicle that were hidden and have started to pop up. I just don't know why they would have made it so the 4x4 can't be used.
