Default Idler arm

I have a 96 GMC Jimmy 4 door 4x4. I am trying to replace the idler arm. Does anyone know any tricks for getting it out of the center link. I have tried a pickle fork and a 4lb hammer.

keep on forking it with a big hammer. it'll eventually let go. They get really in there sometimes.

Make sure you leave the arm bolted to the frame while you are trying to break it loose from the center link. A pry bar pulling the two apart and a sharp blow to the side of the center link beside the taper should be all it takes.

I always leave the nut on flush with the end of the bolt and give it a good whack

I have found a tie rod separator that I am going to try. I will let you know how it works.
