Default Idler Arm

Hi guys,
I have a steering issue but we call items different names in the UK. I have really stiff steering only turning right, my mech and I were under it today he told me it was the 'linkage from the steering bottle to the track rod end', it has a grease nipple and we squeezed some in and it oozed straight out the bottom indicating that it is worn out.
I don't know the name of this arm in the USA other than it may be an idler arm but I could be very wrong.
Please help

While you're under there you should also look at everything. Idler arm, pitman arm, lower ball joints, rag joint. All the things that wear out on these vehicles.

Have done thanks, I also noticed that there are several service grease nipples which I have never had on previous cars. So I have some maintenance to take care of lol

I think there are 11 or 12 in the front suspension and steering linkage
Check the drive shaft (prop shaft) for grease nipples as well

I think a quality grease would make a big difference. I have been using the cheap stuff and it seems to be very fluid. I'm starting to wonder if I should switch to the high-temp tacky red grease for all future parts. Just my $.02 on steering parts maybe lasting longer with better grease.

Well to be fare it's gotta be better than the bearing grease I put in the leaky joint just to keep it going until my new one arrives lol
