Default Idler arm bolt help.

Hi, everyone. I need to know what size bolts hold the idler arm to the frame on my son's '98 Blazer. Some idiot who owned it previously used undersized bolts and it failed inspection.

I don't want to take my 2000 Blazer apart to get the size right. If anyone knows, or can look up the bolt size for me, I'd appreciate it very much. Thank you.

they must be super small for them to notice.

Why cant you just measure the holes etc,and go get some grade 8 bolts with nuts and install it.

Any of the inspection guys should know, they are way beyond what you need and it should pass. just make sure to note you used grade 8.

Thank you for the reply, chris. I was actually able to get an answer from the local dealer's website. No luck on GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts, but the local dealer hooked me up. They are metric bolts, specifically M12x1.75x35mm metric grade 10.9 which is the equivalent of SAE grade 8. I went ahead and ordered nuts and bolts from the dealership for $11 total.
