Installing an ignition kill switch on 4x4 blazer
ok, so my key is stuck in the ignition, no matter what i do i can't get it to come out, there is no hole underneath the ignition switch where the release is supposed to be... i want to install a kill switch because there is no other way to cut the power to the vehicle other than pulling one of the spark plug wires, i have my heart set on a kill switch so if anyone can tell where abouts i should place it in the electrical system it would much qappreciated

Cut power to the ignition switch power wire...
Should come out somewhere under the steering column.
Since you have a 1st gen, though, it shouldn't be that bad to change the ignition cylinder... Heck, Canadian Tire sells 'em! lol.
Open the steering column to find the "hot" wire that supplies power to the key, and that's the one you want to put your switch on to.

There should be a thick red wire, Im not sure what gauge in the newer vehicles but it comes INTO the ignition switch, you use that wire and splice a Heavy Duty 30A or better toggle switch into it. Just dont cut it short you need to make a kill loop with it in order to turn it on again.
I have a haynes laying around let me get some **** done and ill look at the diagram and PM you the info if not the diagram with notes itself.
