interchangeable parts

can the tranfer cases be swapped out. 97 transfer into a 99

will the rear end, tranfer case, and front differential from a 1997 s-10 p/u fit a 2001 blazer 4door

Question #1 - Depends on whether they both have the same transfer case. The 99 could have the NV233/NP233 transfer case which is what the 97 could have. Or, the 99 could have the NV236/NP236 transfer case which was not offered in '97.

Question #2 - Again, that all depends on what the 2001 has in terms of transfer case. The front/rear axle should swap over, but there may be different connections for the front axle engagement parts in the front axle passenger side axle extension tube so you would probably want to only use the center section and bolt the passenger side extension tube onto it from the 2001.

how hard would it be to swap rear diffs. considering the 2001 has disk brakes and the 1997 has drum brakes?

Remove the axle shafts, swap backing plates, reinstall axle shafts, install axle assembly.

another question..... will the torsion bars, control arms, and keys from the 97 fit a 2001? sorry for all the questions but when i call the dealership they cant tell me anything cause they said its to old to cross reference with a 2001

They should, GM made very little changes in the 2nd gen blazers
