John R Spring leaf springs from JCWhitney

Hey guys,

I've been looking all over for information on the leaf springs of my 03 Blazer ZR2. They are sagging of course (like 1 1/2" to 2") :-/ WIth the amount of sag, I think I've pretty much ruled out shackles unless they're 4" (am i right in thinking this?). I really want the stock height back and then a little rake maybe (daystar shackles?) to make up for future sag, any other suggestions? Here is the link from JCWhitney for the springs - John R Spring Replacement Leaf Springs for Truck & SUV - JCWhitney - there are a lot of good reviews.

I've owned my Blazer for 4 years and love it. I've recently done new ball joints, new Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs (along with alignment), westin tube steps. The only thing I have left to do is get rid of the sag and add a brush bar up front :)

Does anyone think shackles are worth it at this point with the amount sag in the leafs?

I can't tell you about those particular springs, but the hi-lift springs I ordered from JCW were very heavy duty but stiff as a board.

Tom
