I have an 2000 LT 2wd. This morning it started making a load clunk in the front and would jerk the truck when I would straighten out from a left hand turn. Now it does it when I go right and even straight. Any idea's as to a cause?

Sounds like you may have a ball joint, tie rod end, or pitman/idler arm problem. You won't know until you get under it and determine the cause. There are quite a few threads here that explain how to check each of these components.

You can get your steering & suspension inspected for free at a lot of the chain repair shops.

Well, I found the problem. It was now where in the front suspension. It ended up being the rear end. The driver side pinion gear was stripped down almost to nothing. The sider gears where starting to get damaged in the prossess. The jolting that I was feeling was the drive axle trying to stop the transmission. so who knows how much damage is done

That would do it. Hopefully it just damaged the spider gears and not the carrier or ring/pinion.

Lucky the spider gears had a few chunks missing, ring and pinion and carrier were fine. I had to order an aftermarket gear set through West Coast Differentials due to the fact that GM no longer makes the 7.6" rear end parts anymore. I'm going to try to put limited slip in it next year!
