Miserable UJoints Seriosly.. Nylon retainers?
 

So after beating my driveshaft for an hour.. did some more searching and found that my stock driveline had a internal nylon retainer holding the ujoint on.. This video was way helpful

Who knew, you would have to melt the clip out to remove the ujoint.

Fun part is when your heating it with a propane torch,you will hear a loud pop,which is the nylon blowing..fun.

This is exactly what I was looking for. What would happen if you didn't put the shaft on the exact way you took it off, you forgot to make marks. Would you have balance issues and How do you know it's on correctly if you didn't make marks? Does a shop have to balance check it or something?

It only goes on 1 way I think. Im not 100 % sure.

Because everything I have read say's to mark the shaft so you put it back on the same. Also I was just looking and are the front drive shaft u-joints press out's? They don't appear to be nylon. How do you get them off, do you remove the cap over them somehow?

I marked mine but forgot about it after melting the nylon retainers out, and put it on the way it wasn't marked haha. And I have done several u-joints at work and never marked them, all turned out ok.

the mark is so you don't go crazy putting it back on.

I never marked mine either. I always tend to put the shaft back in right away too.
