Question Need help with transfer case PLEASE!

Front axle is locking up with the front driveshaft on my 4 wheel '98 Blazer off. I thought I would be able to drive it in rear wheel only until I get new transfer case, but front wheels are still locked up! Any suggestions? (The flange from the drive axle to the transfer case is broken...it looks like the bushings are broken where it meets the driveshaft. Could this be why the wheels are locked? Does the flange come out?)

Thanks in advance, Tom.

Remove the battery, remove the battery tray, disconnect the metal spring looking clip from the vacuum canister. This should disengage the front axle locking cable. You might need to pull the cable out of the canister and tie it off until you're ready to put everything back together.
