Default Need some quick CV help....

Parting my 2000 Jimmy onto my 1997 Blazer. New CVs on the Jimmy.

When I pulled the passenger-side (RF) CV out the axle shaft came with it. I don't care to put it back in the Jimmy, but I need the axle out of the CV and I haven't been able to remove it yet.

How...? Ideas...?

I'm going to grab a new one for that side anyway to put on the Blazer, but if I can get the axle out then I can take the other back before it's actually ON the truck. $60 is $60 (plus tax, etc).

Thanks folks...

The first step is to get the splined joint freed up. Lots of penetrating oil! Push it in then pull it back out. If you have to, put the axle in a vice and smack the CV hub with a hammer.
