Default New add-a-leaf kit...

So I just got in my new add-a-leaf kit and went over to a friends shop this evening to put them in. As we are unloading the factory springs, we notice something very disturbing. The Main leaf-spring is cracked almost all the way through. Then when we try to put it back together (without the add-a-leaf) it snapped completely. Now I have to call the wreckers first thing in the morning to try to find a new one. I'm without a ride tonight. Not too happy about that. Hopefully things go smoothly in the morning.

Look on the bright side.It was a good thing you found it.Actually not that uncommon. You may be better off with a set of aftermarket springs. Now would be the time to replace them.

Chances are, if your back end is sagging, it isn't because the springs are reverse arched, its because the main leaf is broken. I have seen quite a few s-series with this problem.

Now you tell me.... At least the other side looks ok. I wouldn't mind aftermarket springs but the budget is kinda tight right now.
