News Keys

after i did my t-bar tweak i heard some other talk about gettin new keys...does anyone know what these are and how you install them?

New keys allows you to push the torsion bars past where they were ever meant to go in stock form. Installing these will most likely lead to even faster wear on front end parts including ball joints, cv axles, etc.

Not worth it, IMHO.

ok well my friend was wanting me to put his on his dakota the guy he bought them from gave them to him....BTW whats IMHO stand for?

In
My
Humble
Opinion

Some people get the keys and just say forget it and replace parts as needed. Not sure how much extra lift you get out the re-indexed keys. Still can't see how it would be worth it. All the money spent on replacing parts could be spent on a 5-6" lift at that rate!

how do you install them?

Take the old keys out and put the new keys in?

LOL, not sure. I do know a specialized torsion bar 'unloader' makes the job a lot easier. Not sure if it's required or not. I think some people have used a huge c-clamp to do the same thing.
