My popping sound turned out to be a broken tab on the lower control arm where the sway bar end link connects to it. I'm pissed because I replaced mine about 3 months ago, and now the second control arm is broken in the same exact spot. If your suspension seems to bounce a lot more now, that might be the issue, since it connects the sway bar.
