Rear Differential plug is stuck

So that rear cover does not fit it is about 1 inch too big and i ended up having to fill it thru the vent tube. All that matters is I got that nasty fluid out of there and it is done.

Works OK as long as you put the right amount in and don't have any leaks!

I put in 2 quarts exactly and no leaks in the last 3 days. I made sure to use a generous amount of red RTV with a gasket so I hope that doesn't leak.

I appreciate the lead and it was so very close but just a half inch too big and no hard feelings.

I know you got it drained and filled but did you ever try an impact gun on it?

that rounded out the inside of the plug I'm thinking about one of these days drilling out the center of the plug and tapping it with a m14x1.75 plug so the level can be checked and serviced in the future.
