Default Loose CV Boot

So while I was overhauling my front brakes a couple of weeks ago, I saw that one of the driver's side CV boots was totally loose, and had leaked its grease out. It looks like the clamp had failed, as far as I can tell. But the boot doesn't look "normal", I guess you could say. It did not seem as though it would have been a snug fit even with the clamp on. The thing that really sucks is that this same axle assembly was replaced by a shop about two years ago or so. Since it was the whole assembly that was replaced, it doesn't seem to be their fault. Could've been just a faulty clamp, but I'm not really sure. So anyway, should I bother trying to clean the thing out and install a new boot, or just replace the whole thing since it has been a few years and I have no idea when that boot failed. Here's some pictures of what I found after taking off the rotor:

One of the pics is a little blurry, but the other is better.

get a large adjustable clamp and call it good.
i have been running them for over a year...no problems.
clean it up and repack with a lube/grease pack.

check for clearance on the boot, i placed my adjustable clamps on differential end, should still work fine.

this might help ya
