Scraping Noise Up Front

I'm sure everyone is getting tired of my questions by now, but I do have another. Its fun trying to hunt down all of these issues.

Whenever I go over a bump (like a speed bump, or the raised bumps on the seems of a parking garage) I get a metal-on-metal scraping noise from the front suspension area. I have tried pushing down on the front while parked, and whether I am not pushing it down far enough I don't know, but I don't hear it. Anything that comes to mind with this description? Thanks again in advance!

Mine squeaks going over bumps like that, but it's only with large amounts of suspension travel and at slow speeds. You could possibly need to grease and lube everything up front? But mine is definitely a squeak, I don't think i'd classify it as a scrape.

Have you checked for clearance on the suspension travel? Are any parts showing scrape marks/scars?

No, we're not tired of your questions. The more info you can give does make it easier for us though.
Is it from one side or the other ?
you could check for clearance between the brake rotor and the dust shield. It's possible that if the dust shield has been bent at all that it is now close enough to the rotor to touch as the suspension flexes over bumps.

RE: Scraping Noise Up Front

The noise is universal up there, doesn't stand out from one side to another. The brakes were just done when it was traded in at the dealership, so that could be a very likely candiate. Its definately not a squeek, its a scrape. I'll pull off the wheel and look this weekend.
