i have a 2003 blazer 4x4 every thing works but the hole suv shakes at 80 i had new tires put on all tire rods are new wheel bearings are fine axles are good so as im lost on what it maybe if any one could help out i would be great full thank you..

 

Dont drive 80, ha,! Balance maybe, would double check all the joints also

 

i was just going to say, go 65 or 70, you will save gas too LOL

 

Mine vibrates at 90 MPH (and it's a 4-WD), even with everything checked out and freshly balanced.

I just think sometimes there's too much mass involved to accommodate. Too bad they don't do on the car balancing anymore. This way you DO balance the drivetrain and rotors. Even then it was only good to 70 MPH.

I was going 90 in my 99 4wd the other day and i didnt have any vibrations

 

I was wondering if you had the U-joints checked. I had the same issue with another vehicle that I have. And I had gone through the pain of doing the tires incase of bad balance/separated tire, checked all 4 rims at the sametime, torqued driveshaft, and then finally the U-joints. It ended up being the U-joints and the driveshaft being out of balance. Maybe that might help?

 

Just keep in mind most wheel balancers are low speed machines only spin
About 30 mph.....

 

The first thing that comes to mind for me is tire balance. Not all tire balance machines are equal, and not all shops do a good job. Also, what kind of tires do you have? A/T or M/T tires are definitely not built for high speeds and are more likely to cause vibrations at high speeds.

 

and I thought only Wranglers and CJs were notorious for high speed death wobbles... I kid, I kid. I agree. Re-check the balancing of your tires. May have lost a wheel weight? Are you riding on factory or aftermarket wheels? Did you change to a more aggressive tire? Have you checked your drive lines for any damages? T
