steering binding up

I had some bad cab mounts so I jacked the body up ( I only had to repair the ones under drivers feet and pass ) But after I did it the steering is binding up and the horn goes off if I do turn it . I don't understand why its binding . All the body lines are matching up great unlike before where it looked like I hit a jump and landed front first . I did forget to loosen the shift linkage and bound that up pretty tight , man I hate when I mess **** up . I didn't realize that it was even out of shape bad enough to mess with the linkage .

You need to check your steering shaft specially the upper (tulip) joint and the lower (rag) joint. If both or one is damaged, I recommend doing some research here about the Cherokee steering shaft swap (something I'm going to do soon). The shaft has a telescopic part, but if it was hard to pull, it could have caused damage to joints instead of pulling apart when you jacked the body.
