Sterring column off-centered? (2025 RS AWD)
Hey guys! I just bought my brand new 2025 Blazer RS AWD a few days ago. One thing I've noticed since the last couple of days is that it seems like the entire steering column is either off-center or pivoted slightly to the left. I've attached two picture, one showing the underneath of the steering column pivoting to the left and the other is a POV view of what I see, and the bowtie on the steering wheel isn't lined up with the speedometer... I had taken the car to the chevy dealership and they told me that other new Blazers on their lot have the same thing and they didn't perform any repairs. This can't be how it's supposed to be, I find it very hard to believe. Does anybody else's blazer have this issue? Thanks!

I have no experience with the new Blazers, but on a general note, that doesn't seem right.
It is possible to go to a different dealer to see what they think or to look at others on their lot? |
I agree that it does not look correct. Most columns have some leeway in their mountings that might allow for some adjustment. I would press the dealer to take a look at it regardless of their comment that it is the same way on all the others they have on the lot. Was there any grace period for return on it that you could use to hang over their heads?

I do believe it is normal for the steering column to be just slightly slanted to the left. From the line you drew it seems like more than most, but most are a few degrees off center . There is usually a correlation with steering wheel angle lining up closer to the center line of the hood than straight ahead from the drivers seat . It is done for ergonomics as most people sit or point their head slightly angled looking down the center of the road ahead and the slight angle is more natural .

Since perspective can be misleading sometimes, maybe take a picture from behind the headrest of the front driver seat.
Has the dealer been any help concerning this? |
