By struts I'm guessing you are talking about the shock absorbers. The springs can go bad (become less stiff with age and use) which would be indicated by the at-rest body height in one corner being lower than the rest. However this is rare as far as I know.

It is the shock absorbers that take some of the up-and-down motion and reduce the amplitude to smooth out the ride.

What you probably need is new shocks. Have you visually inspected them? Sometimes it is pretty obvious they are gone by oil leaking out of them.

I haven't looked at them yet. She's got 150k miles. And they are probably the original ones that came off the line with it.

I replace the shocks and see how it rides then. Also need to replace all the body mounts.

**I will replace the shocks**

I had my one of my front shocks go out by 130k miles and 18 y.o. so it is pretty reasonable to expect them go out by 150k.

Ok thanks. For the quick response!

New struts/shocks all around. Rides like new now!

If yours is 4wd, it doesn't have coil springs. You've got torsion bars. And no struts, you've got shocks. But that was addressed above

FWIW, my Blazer had 291,000 miles on it when I got it, and it still had the original shocks. I don't even know how the previous owner managed to drive it. It was seriously like piloting a boat on rough seas.:icon_pala:
