Suspension noise

HI.I have a 99 blazer 2WD,34K miles. When driving on a flat road it makes a sound like train wheels on a track,a click - clack. If I lift the fender (drivers side) a single metalic clunk is heard. It seems to happen most on flat roads when the suspension is relaxed,3 or 4 different sounds like the spring moving around? I can feel the popping part of the sound through the floorboard, but not the brakes or steering.Steers and tracks fine.

Thanks,Alex.

Inspect your cab mounts really good . sounds like thats your problem .

control arm bushings and/or bj have been known to cause sounds like this. also check the sway bar end links.

have the front end inspected (either by a shop or a friend who knows what they're doing) and go from there.

Mine is also making some noise now, kind of like a pop or knock while driving, the harder the road and the faster i go the loader and more frequent it gets.

this is kinda an old thread but mine has been making the same noise even after new ball joints....it sounds like its coming from underneath me/but in the front end? exactly how op described it like a train!! Torsion bars?
