Will torsion bars from a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD fit our Blazers?

This USEFUL LINK says that the standard length is 54". So I just have to find out the load rating on the bars and possibly get new keys?

hmmm never thought about that, I would think they are different but if they are the same I bet the 2500 tbars will be much stronger than the ones on blazers

Ya, I think they're all the same length just different spring ratings.

If you can get them in plan on having to give what so ever up front. I would imagine it will ride so stiff you'll wish you never even thought of doing it in the first place.

I'm thinking the $25 is a typo, but wanted to get some info.

Didn't a guy on here not too long ago use the keys and bars from ZR2 and install them in a 2nd gen blazer? I remember they fit, but even with the torsion adjuster bolts all the way out he was still haveing some problems getting it to align. Gave him some extra lift up front though.

Would the bars from the 2500 fit in the control arm? Never messed with the ifs suspension except to raise the front a pinch so that's what I would be wondering about. But I'm interested if it would work, i've been thinking about replacing my bars. And since gm doesn't make the 1st gen ones anymore and LMC wants like $300 a bar I'd like to see what other options are out there.

I imagine there's probably some way they COULD fit.. though not easily more than likely. Like what AJ said, it'll ride like a tank haha. If you do get them and put em in, and they work okay, BUILD THREAD! (AKA Take lots of pics)

I got zr2 bars in my 2nd gen 4 door, work great!

How many cranks did you need to lift as compared to your non-ZR2 bars? Any difference in ride quality? Did you have to modify the ZR2 bars at all? I've heard and read that they need some grinding down to fit.
