With 4x4 drive you have to use some common sense. If the roads are dry its not good for it to rum in 4x4. If your driving at highway speeds for a excessive amount of time its not good to be in 4x4. If the roads your driving all night require 4x4 you should use caution. I wouldn't drive 70mph for hours and hours on end in 4x4 but that's me. Not sure if itll hurt anything or not. Also remember that just cuz you can go better in show and stuff in 4x4 mode. It don't mean you'll be able to stop. I believe that's why there are so many blazers in the junk yard with smashed in front ends.

I would say that's exactly what its designed for and it should be fine. Be careful with sharp turns and stuff like that as it makes the front wheels scoot. Hope you get lots of good tips for driving in snow all night.
