Upper Ball Joint Pic

On Sat I took my S15 Jimmy in for an Alignment and the tech. told my that both my upper ball joints, idler arm and pitman arm were bad. So today I got the upper ball joints replaced and they were severely worn/damaged. The passenger side socket was cracked. Both sides were loose as a goose. Check out the pic. Tomorrow I will do the Centerlink and idler arm. The 2WD Pitman Arm does not have a socket. It is on the center link. My lower ball joints are tight along with the tie rod ends.

WoW that is bad! i just replaced my upper one today. Thats intresting, didnt know that the pitman was part of the centerlink on the 2WD's.

I did not remember that either when I went to the Auto parts store there were no listings for 2wd Pitman arm. I then started searching the internet and no pitman arm listed for 2wd. I finally went to a GM Parts Site and saw the picture of the 2wd pitman arm and then I remembered that the joint is on the centerlilnk. I purchased all Moog parts. I ordered the centerlink from Rock Auto and saved about $15.00 and should be delivered on thursday. I don't know if Moog is worth the premium price or not but I have never had a problem with a moog part. I am partial to using Moog or NAPA suspension parts.

Yea, Moog parts are excelent quality. But are very pricey, so i use napa chassis parts too, i think they are very good quality for what you get. tried the napa master ride and those parts are junk!
